Looks good Don!

So did you make a strip heater or just use the ones they sell at PSI?

Dont mind at all. Someday I'll figure out how. I may even figure out how to take a good picture. I used to blame it on the camera until I bought a nice one. Now its obviously operator error.

Tom,

I have both. The real strip heater works great for big stuff like the tank and tall overflows.
The little tape heater is kind of cool for little stuff. You can do two or three things at once. If you leave it on a little to long it wont go into total melt down. You have to watch the real strip heater.

Cool, I guess I am gonna have to do some experimenting w/ bending some plastic. So how hard do you think it would be to bend some 1/2" material? I have a sheet of that comming soon to make my new tank. The stand is coming along. I will take some pix before I glue it together tomorrow.

Tom

Personally I would'nt try to bend 1/2". Just to expensive for me to screw-up. I think I'd leave that to the pro's. Kel tech quoted me $35 per bend, then you could put it together and do all the cutting yourself.

gotta learn sometime, I have a lot of 1/2" scrap we could practice w/ they are smaller peices but I am sure it would help. I may just go ahead and build the tank w/ joined front corners, I do not mind the look.

I would, bending wide pieces is alot different than scraps. Have you mastered getting rid of joint bubbles?

Don

Hey Don, I have some pretty good sized scraps I think, but no where near tank sized. I have had a few joints that have come out perfect. Not every one does, but I do know what it takes, and I am really hoping that when I make my tank it will all come out very nice.

It will turn out great. I personally believe it whats inside that counts. All your joints could be full of bubble. If it looks anything like your current tank it will be awsome.
