Ok, I can't believe this hasn't come up yet..... ...lol. Well as we all well know tax season is upon us. For some I'm sure the pain is unbearable, but for others that have been using Uncle Sam to hold on to some of our money temporarily it might be good ;)

My question is this. If you're getting a return are you gonna use any of it for reefing? If so what do you plan to do with it?

I for one discovered that purchasing a new vehicle in 2004, the new sales tax law change for affected states (yayyy Washington State) in addition to three child tax credits, countless deductions, and some changes in the way my work takes out taxes for how we work off duty jobs, has yielded me the largest return I have ever gotten in 26 years of working. I "hope" to be able to get the 180 acrylic IAP tank and some equipment to upgrade my current setup. Of course my wife already has the new bedroom and dining room set, living room flooring, and countless other things picked out...that was all within 5 minutes after she watched me push the send button for our electronic filing..... ;)

So if you have something coming back let us know what you would like to do with it :D

Using my return to finally buy the lighting for my tank in progress. That's the last expensive piece I need other than the liverock when everything is built.

We are getting a pretty small return this year. My husband has chosen a laptop, and I would like to get some nice colorful zoos. Anyone have any suggestions on where to order from?

Oh Yeah By The Way You Gotta See My New Clam It Was A Steal (a.p. ) Has The Best Prices.

So what changes do we have in this tax season if I may ask... What was added, removed, or changed...

Thanks

I'm picking up another 140lbs of rock, and a CL-650 chiller with my return. That should have my new 180 up to where I can actcually start adding to it again! *smile*

The child tax credit is $1000.00 per child, and the new state sales tax deduction is really nice. Plus there is no marriage penalty anymore for people filing joint returns.....

Oh and by the way as of today I am now the proud owner of 10% of a 180 gallon IAP tank :D...I went and put some money down and next Friday when my return is automatically deposited in my account I'm paying it off......now to start the shopping list for everything I need to run it
