If you want to pay that much for a meter I would not be picking that one by far . Okaton does make good meters but lets say not great meters. For the same price and for meters that do more and are more accurate, you can get one of the Cadillac meters like a YSI, HACH or Horiba. Or for $300 less you can get an Okaton that has all your needs and water proof. Why do you want or did you choose this meter is the real question ? Is it a waterproof thing, then the Horiba by far ? When people let me spend their money it is almost always, Horiba, HACH, YSI, WTW and Orion (Thermo Electron). And the only Orion they have that meets your needs (range of TDS) is $1800.00. And the WTW $900.00. I'm a big fan of Horiba However, based on what all of them do and their price the HACH hands down. Not only that but HACH has the biggest tech support group there is

Your meter $750 and it does not even have a scale for Salinity. Its Conductivity accuracy +/- 1% and the rest are +/- 0.5% (other than the other Oakton, also +/- 1%) And all have data loggers and PC output. That Okaton price is only due to its IrDA technology and you do not need wireless download ****.

Well hey when I get new projects for my electrical engineer buddies, they always seem to scrape up new goodies for my tank and all sorts of ideas, I keep needing to get larger control panels because of all the crap they want to stuff in there I need to slow them down to the basics & just keep it reliable.
