Barrier Reef Aquariums and The Bear Creek School in Redmond wanted to personally thank Jason, and CFI, for donating a sweet 29 gallon Acrylic Tank to one of their classrooms. For someone as busy as you are I know that giving up the time to build this for them did not come without a price. Bear Creek contacted Barrier Reef to see if we could help them out with the project. Jason graciously agreed to build them the tank at no cost:eek: We donated a few items and sold them the rest at cost so that the school could get an aquarium into their building. They are using Current PC Lighting, an Eheim 1260 plumbed through a SCWD water switching device on a closed loop, and I believe they already have a hang-on protein skimmer. Should be a nice little Reef Tank. I'll post more pictures once it is setup. Thanks again Jason!

When I was in elementary school we had a tank too. It was setup as a freshwater for trout. Ofcourse I admired it everyday and I think that got me interested. My parents then bought a tank for my 10th birthday, and that's all she wrote. I've been at it ever since.

Same here. In 7th grade we had an fw Oscar tank that I admired, and I have had a tank ever since.

It's nice to see people helping people. Thanks :D

Just an update. The school has a hobbyist who helped them plumb up the tank and I hear its starting to get new residents. Here's what they have to say about their new aquarium made possible by CFI and Barrier.

"The students finish their in-class work and then ask how much time they
have before the bell rings, not to doodle like they used to, but to
know how much time they can spend watching Gilbert and Sushi, the two
clowns, and looking for new creatures they haven't spotted yet.

There was a "name the fish contest" that was dominated by kids trying
to name the clowns after themselves. It's a good thing Sherry had the
final word on the winners or they might have Mark and Christy the
clowns.

The aquarium is a huge hit and we really appreciate all that you have
done and Sherry is almost giddy when she contemplates visiting the store
to look for new animals.

Thanks again"
