Well after a series of unfortunate events, as in the a huge serge from our friendly power company that killed the poswer to my house, and an old generator that failed to come on when that happened. The beast has been with out power since 8 am this morning  . Well after a 10 hour stent it doesnt seem to worse for the wear. PH droped two points and the tank only gave up two degrees.
Got her all back up and running after some work on my melted main breaker. Corals arent sliming so they seem to be ok, the fish dont seem to be bothered by it either.

Well hopefully O'Briens law doesnt come into play!!!

Yea its been up for a bit now, temp and ph are climbing back to normal. Visually I cant see anything that worries me...well besides the wet carpet and the wife clutching the broom??.
I have to admit I was surprised it held the temp so long, I knew the acrylic would help but not that much.

Whew!

The luck you got with this one is making up for the skimmate incident :).

Well day two it all still looks pretty good. Dang I got a generator it was a 3500, but bite the bullet, or at least the electrical controls did. I ended up going out and getting a new one last night

Our lights went out the night before last during a nice electrical storm, my tank was dead and smelly for 4 hours, you don't know how much I pumped up the wife for a generator, I guess she will make me wait until the next hurricane to hit first. Glad your tank didn't suffer, guess water volume & acrylic made the difference.
