The Best Calcium Reactor Media?

What's the best calcium reactor media available and why? I just bought a reactor from My Reef Creations and was wondering if I could just use aragonite from CaribSea such as their Seafloor line at 1-2mm particle size.

For the most part they will all accomplish the same thing. The ARM does dissolve at a higher ph so less co2 is needed. It is more expensive so I guess it would balance out. I would be concerned with impurities. The big one would be phosphates. They don't get the shells and other things out of substrate like they do media designed for a reactor.

I would use rowalith or arm for no other reason than quality control.

That really depends on your reactor.ARM is a good media, generally what most people run, I would not just use plain araganite, too much phosphate. Go with an actual reactor media, and you will have less algae growth.To further lower phosphates, Soak your media in RO/di water for a couple of days, then use it in your reactor.
