My leather coral split in half. One side is still attached to the LR. The other was floating around at the bottom of the tank. What i did was band him on a small LR, in hopes he will re-attach himself, then I can snip that rubberband. Is there another way to go about this? a better way? I don't want to hurt him.

Stick a tooth pick all the way through. Wedge it into the rock, you dont need to remove it later he'll just grow around it.

Thanks for the info! :) I will try that because my coral is pretty upset right now, being rubba banded to a rock and all.
