just wanna say that, Im praying hard core for the ocean life down there...

i can tell you this for sure.. it is going to be much worse then we all think and know and are told..

the ocean is taking a beating on this one,

yea i have family in new orleans and they are greatly concerned. they updated today thats it now 250,000 gallons of oil a day thats spilling into the ocean. what a shame. this is much bigger than the valdez spill.

lets hope not.

Didn't the Valdez spill total just under 11 million gallons?

there is going to be death in the billions i bet.

i work for a Company that makes the oil umbilical for the plateforms, from the wells to the platform and from the platform to the shore...
and (granted im a welder) even tho i dont know the specifics on the total GPH, ( i can tell you they dont mesure in GPH)

that tube is built to handle 30,000 psi, at we make 25miles lengths,

so if i had to take a drunk guess.. 3 wells (what i heard) or 2 what they say,

is pumping about 750 thousand gallons every 24hr, 4 days now..

they passed the valdez spill a day ago... :(

catastrophic damage is about to occur

There is a lot going on to capture as much as possible, I think they will get it under control soon & hopefully able to clean up most of it rapidly, the weather isn't playing in their favor though.

and they say it will hit land in the next day or so depending on weather. all the way from louisiana to florida.

its going to be weeks man.. im so sad about this.. i feel like somehow i have a hand in this... and all i can think about it the amount of death and detritus thats about to be floating about the gulf... really i wanna cry dude

(big ups on the move to the fountain)

Yea I really don't think that was it, I know several of these guys on there & any crew would know if someone was up to something like that.

Their guessing it was more like 60,000 Barrels a day leaking, not the 5,000 as said before. Hopefully the cage will contain it until they can drill the second well to plug this one. One thing about oil, it is biological, & if they clean it up properly, removing the majority, the microbes will get the rest as it is natural occurring. There is hope for something good to happen out of this, farther safety equipment & the thought of how to capture any leaks in rough seas & depths over a mile deep before it hits surface, will hopefully prevent this from ever happing again.
