ah, yes... turf algae species are a bit difficult to establish, but always good when you can do so. However, it is best perhaps if they are kept in an inline refugium or algal scrubber where you can systematically harvest the algae. The problem in keeping them in displays is that they need a lot of water flow to thrive... too much for most corals.

Which algae species belongs to the Turf? Derbesia sp. can be considered Turf algae in the reef?
