And then I rearrange some of the rock (still not quite what I'm looking for)

I move some of the Tunze streams around so they hit this island

And then decide that things are stable enough to add some zoanthids I had sitting in o2manyfish's system along with a trio of tangs. I picked up the zoanthids from ReeferMadness back in February when MASLAC went visiting on a Saturday. RM offered such sweet deals that day that I couldn't resist!

cya,

Ted

BTW - I'm going to IMAC and hope to actually meet some of you in person!

Way Cool, so Is the Sump outside?
If I tried that here the temps would heat up to almost 100 degrees out side lol~!

Ahh the joys of exterior plumbing...you dog, lol.. Man I tell you that stand on the tank scares the hell out of me, lol but it does have a great modern look to it. The rockscaping looks great but I bet you will be tweeking it for a while, rofl, when you do columns like that with big swim throughs it makes great scaping for glueing tables up the pillar, really nice stuff.

Keep the pictures come Ted the tank looks awesome

Ghetto lighting is finished

I finished a temporary canopy and added the 4 Lumenarc's today. Here are a few pictures.

Ted,
what are the dimensions of each Lumenarc reflector?

The L3 reflector itself is square and is not quite 20"x20". The fixture housing attaches to the side and makes one dimension almost 26" so in terms of a foot print for mounting you are forced to deal with 20"x26".

They are awesome BTW.

cya,

Ted

How tall are they? Anything about them you dont like, (besides the price)?

Updated pictures

Many, many issues over the 20 months this system has been up. Just when I get over one issue, something else come along. My 90g was not like this. Anyway, some full tank shots.

Looks good. Looks like you have all of the fancy do-dads (lumericks, tunzes, great LR, huge sump, calc reactor, etc). What types of problems did you run into out of curiousity?

Since spring of this year I have had a bad hair algae and slime algae break out in the main tank, a cyano problem in both the sump and refugium, and now some kind of algae problem again in the main tank.

When you hide a Tunze stream, you have a large pump to hide AND a long cable too! The long cable is a necessity if you are going to place them anywhere but on a back wall but it sure is a pain trying to make them unobtrusive yet easily retrievable since the pumps require regular maintenance.

Excellent job Ted! I had forgotten about your tank thread. Thanks for the update. The aquascaping is awesome with every side looking so different. Your fish selection looks tangtastic also.:) Keep up the good work.
Scott
