Ok, help me out here Californians. My wife and I are heading down to southern Oregon and northern California next week and have two days to kill. What do you folks do for fun around there? We'd planned to stay in Crescent City and visit the Redwoods; heck, that would probably be enough to keep me happy.

I see there is an "Ocean World" aquarium in Crescent City. Looks small time -- has anyone been there? Is it worth going? I also see there is a "Marine Mammal Center". What is it? Stuffed seals?

I thought I'd ask and see if there are any "must do" activities in the area.

spend a day just driving through the trees. theres also tons of hiking. you would be surprised at what lurks just off of the beaten path. and if you can swing it do a days fishing on a charter boat. i believe the salmon and possibly the tuna are running up in that area, if not the bottom fishing is killer! ive never been to any of the "aquariums" up there but it does sound like a great way to waste some time!

edit:if you make it as far as fort bragg and want to do some fishing these guys will do it right for you! i know them all and they know what theyre doing. the fishon is smaller but the rumblefish is nicer. both will catch some good fish.(can you tell i fish there alot?)

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I'm a fisherman and Tahoe is too far from the area we're going to be staying in -- not to mention I've been there many many times since my folks retired there!

Looks like we will most likely do the Redwoods and Oregon Caves.
