Hello ReefFrontiers,

I'm Thomas and I live in St. Helens Oregon

I have been lurking for a while now and making a few post here and there. I thought it would be rude not to formally introduce myself

I have had freshwater tanks all my life and love them. I still have a 75 gallon set up now. I ventured in the the wonderful and very addictive world of salt last September and have been learning a lot. The more I learn the less I know.

I started with the 75 gallon (now freshwater) and about a month later switched to a 125 gallon. I love it! It is a 125 or 120L or 130 depending who you ask. Its 72 X 18 X 20. I have a 40 gallon refugium and a unknown skimmer that came with the tank (I'll eventually upgrade). Current lighting is T-5 but I do have a 250 X 3 MH setup with T-5 actinic for it if I get brave enough to try.

Here are the current inhabitants of my tank

I am a member on the PNWMAS forums and have been getting great help and good times with fellow reefers since before I set up my first salt tank. I found ReefFrontiers through them. When that site has problems they post here. Well me being me I soon found myself reading posts and commenting, and here I am.

I have enjoyed looking at your tanks so much here is a pic of what I found yesterday at the Pet Works in Longview. WARNING I HAVE NO CAMERA AND THESE ARE HORRIBLE CELL PHONE PIC'S

Welcome to the forum!!!

You Will not find a better more knowledgeable group of reefers anywhere else!!!

People here will always offer to help, and usually can supply the correct answers. Just remember, everyone does things differently. What works for someone else, might not work for you . I usually will always listen and then try to incorporate advise to suit my needs.

Pics are a must on this forum, they do say 1000 words!!!

Have fun and enjoy the hobby!!!!

Very nice. Both tanks look great!

Thank you, its a lot of work but I enjoy it. I just saw my fist picture has green coralline on the glass. How embarrassing

Thaks for the welcome :)

I have found that everyone has there own way and experience. I hope to be able to help others here and there. I will often start with
"I'm no expert"

Santa forgot me this year so no camera :( but if you can handle the cell phone I'll keep them coming.

I have the same wrasse as you. Such a good guy too. Always inspecting my rocks and picking at pests. :) Welcome!

That's great, I haven't found too many people with the eight line. Very funny fish, loves to do cartwheels through the tank. I just added the Melanurus a week ago. They are just now playing nice. I think I have the wrasse bug. Such cool critters. And I love that they will keep the pests out of my system :)
