To Spraybar or not to spray bar...

My new tank has a Spraybar all built in, and I also added two lockline returns for a SCWD.

I'm going to have a sandbed, so should I use the spraybar as a main return anyway, and make the SCWD a closed loop, or should I just plug the spray bar and use my SCWD as a main return?

I'm leaning towards the second one right now, Mostly because I want this tank setup ASAP and don't have a pump for the SCWD, but I also fear the sray bar because I've seen a 80g tank get a hole drilled right through it by his spraybar/sand.

How big is your tank? You do know the lockline isn't water tight right, I might not understand what your saying? I'd probably not use the two together myself, the SCWD would make a nice return IMO.

Spray bars are nice in my opinion. Only thing I don't like about them is, you must have a pump strong enough to push the water from one end to the other equally. Just a thought.

How big is your tank?.

It has the same footprint as a 55. 48" long, I forget the rest
