toadstool leather frag prop?

I cut the head off my giant sarcopyton leather last night. In the past I had only cut off small pieces and rubber banded them to live rock pieces. I cut it into (9) 1.5 inch pieces. I read on G.A.R.F.s website to just stick them in the sand and let them heal before attaching to live rock. I tried this, now that I think more about this, I thought I would ask for input from you all. It sells very well around here, (fancy green with long tentcles) how do you all frag leathers for sale? What do you charge? I normally get 10$ unless it is an extrordinary piece. My other thought was a plastic bowl full of live rock rubble (no rubber bands) because the rubber bands tend to cut through the coral and make two very small corals. Any input would be helpful to me. Hi Steve

I've always used a piece of bridal veil netting, over the frag and rubberbanded around the rock or if I have rubble with the right shaped crevices and holes, I wedge the frags in there.

$5-10 seems to be pretty much the going rate on frags.

I have found that rubber bands that are snug but not tight in a low flow area works out great. I usually wait for mine to get about three or four inches and then sell mine. Of course the prices are much higher here than in the USA. Since the yellow ones from Tonga or the white ones with metallic green Polyps bring a premium price these are the ones I have and frag. I can moves these here as fast as I can produce them!
