Hey, my tank is 14.5" H and I'm thinking about going with 320 watts of VHO's, 2) 6' 160 watt bulbs. Will this be too much for softies and LPS?

You can never have too much with VHO's
Just watch your softies, they will let you know.
My tank is 20" high and I have 3-4' VHO's + 2-250W MH lamps but my softies have to be placed just right in the tank.

but like I said.. watch your softies. I have noticed that stuff like mushrooms do not like a lot of lighting.
What ballast are you going to run your VHO's with?
