Hey lee,

I was wondering if you would seriously recommend treating my eel for ich, although i can't see any signs of ich on him?

And if I do, I will need an entirely separate setup for him then won't I?

PS: Just realized I never mentioned, the blue tang DOES have ich, as well as 2 gobies

From what I understand eels have a better stronger immune system agents things like ick. They can get it but you may not see any signs of it. Because they are bottom dwellers with a heightened immune system they can often survive an outbreak in even a heavily infested system. It would be best to treat all the fish in the tank including the eel.

I agree. Your going to need to treat all the fish including the eel. I am not so sure about how to quarantine an eel though. I would assume it would be the same as any fish, though you may want a separate QT just for the eel with plenty of PCV for it to shelter in.
I look forward to Lee's reply.

Yeah I am worrying I will have to tear down my 55 gallon FW and turn that into a QT and then use hyposalinity method in both tanks....god i don't look forward to keeping 2 QT tanks running...
