Tridacna gigas

I had to move my clam to a larger tank so I thought I would post a picture of it. I bought it in Aug. '03 when it was about 8". I will post a picture of it in its new location soon.

Yeah its amazing, even more cool is that the black clowns used to swim inside of it, soooo huge.

Nice, do you submerge your face in the water when you place it in the tank? I assume it's too large for tongs.

Here are a couple of new pictures. It seems to have picked up the growth rate a bit. The tank is 48" wide so hopefully it will accommodate the clam at full size.

WoW! That has got to be the biggest clam in a non public aquarium tank. I’m just guessing but that’s gona be hard to beat.

It is the biggest clam in the NW US that I know of.
