I'm looking at taking my wife to Seattle for the weekend of May 07-09. It's her birthday on the 6th and she's never been to a professional sports game so I thought I'd try to get tickets and go to the Seattle Aquarium. The only problem is that's when NY is in town. (My Luck)

If anyone knows or has some tickets for Fri, Sat or Sun let me know. I want to stay in the box seat area. (Beggars shouldn't be choosers but if she likes it....we could go more!) If not we'll go a different weekend.

Also, is there a good time (weekday vs. weekend) to go to the aquarium...neither of us have been.

Any other ideas would be appreciated. She's been to Seattle 1 time and I've only been a few. LSF and so on!!

Thanks

Mark

Ok I can believe no one has tickets they want to part with but.......... No one has any suggestions about what to do, LFSs and or info about the aquarium??? Great food places, good hotels??

Thanks

No help on the tickets (sorry!), but maybe a couple ideas.

If you like crab try Chandler's on Lake Union. Spaghetti & such, try The Spaghetti Factory - it's near the aquarium.

The aquarium is great anytime. Last time I went was during summer break, so lots of kids. I think weekdays would be better. And if you are going to be down on the waterfront anyway, hit the Ye Old Curiosity Shoppe on the other end of the strip. Haven't been for years, but it was always a kick.

If you have time for a stop on your way to / from Seattle, be sure to go by Blue Sierra in Issaquah! Take exit 18, turn left if you are heading toward Seattle, or right if heading away from Seattle. Blue Sierra is back and behind on your left about half a mile or so down the road.

Hope you find those tickets. Have a great time.

theres also anthonys which is on the waterfornt right near the aquarium/ it is very very good and they serve seafood. i dont know what you want to spend but theres a nice new hotel across the street from the aquarium which is also down the street from safeco field where the mariners play. i think its the marriott. its probably fairly pricey though but would be worth the money if you dont mind spending it.

Thanks jazznreef,

I'll check it out....if they have a nice clean room that's all we're looking for. Nothing too fancy!! I hope we will be out seeing the town instead of in the room. :)

Hey Mark!

Blue Sierra is a sponsor on this site. Here is a link, however, their website is under construction. You can at least get their phone number and address:

Oh, lots of things to do downtown. :) Pike's Place market is a good place to wander and buy yummy snacks. There's also a restaurant there that has killer crab cakes, except I can't remember the name of it right now, lol. There's the art museum if you are so inclined. Ooooh, and The Cheesecake Factory restaurant is close to the museum. Pioneer Square is a good place for checking out the wildlife at night. ;) I haven't been there in awhile but it used to be that one flat cover charge let you in the door of a half dozen or so clubs. There's a nice bookstore down by the Square too, as well as some cool funky shops.

A ride on the ferry might be nice if the weather is good and then there's always the uber-touristy Space Needle and Monorail.

Have fun!
