You could always plug in some headphones and see if you are getting sound out. ;)

Damn Macs are supposed to be user friendly...lulz!

Give me the model number of your TV so I can look at it. Might be a few before I get back to you. Got to play "avoid the tree" on the way home.

No head phones:oops:

It's a Samsung PN58B650

K, where do you have the RCA jacks plugged in on the TV?

There are two different spots on this tv that has audio rca inputs.
I tried all.
The one that makes sense to use are the ones on the side where I have the hdmi plugged into.

K...

On the back of your set you have 3 HDMI "ins". The middle of the three is marked "DVI". To the left of that you have "DVI Audio in". Plug the HDMI cable in that one and the RCA's in next to it where it's marked.

I'm thawing shrimp, but I will check back in a couple. :)

Ok that works.
The middle hdmi slot was the hdmi going to the blu-ray player ( which isn't there)
I was using one on the side of the tv. Which worked fine for use as a pc monitor.
Thank-you
