Tube worm or hydroid?

I have some critters growing in a clump on my liver rock which I have thought at times might be hydroids. Do hydroids retract like tube worms? These retract their heads when disturbed.

well i dont' know if it's my eyes but i believe my colonia hydroids do retract if you try bothering them but tube worms do that too so i guess you would have to post a picture
