yeh well ive only had this thing a couple of months and it stopped working after a water change i took it apart and put it back togeather it still didnt turn on i discovered the impeller rod was metal i couldnt belive that when i saw it and it was already starting to rust i thought it would of been cermic well i got sum vasaline a greased up the impeler and it came on thank god or it would of been a big ball ache i dont know now if i should get another one as i had planned to im slightly disapointed by the infomation booklet telling me they use the best parts which obviosly they dont
what would u do about this and the rust?

do you know if the larger ones are like this?

if so ill just keep the maxi's

I think they all have metal shafts but mine never rusted, this would be a big problem for sure!

My tunze streams I had in my 75gal never rusted and my nano stream I currently have now hasn't rusted yet either. That's weird though...I need to look at mine closely when I get home:)

yeh it has worried me a bit aye should think about returning it or trading it in on the warrnty maybe i can get a repalcment ceramic shaft
i wonder why i would see this happen and know one eles has

Must be the Aussie salt:p Not sure why...I wouldn't think they'd use something that can potentially rust and cause a problem which is really strange:confused:

yeh i fully just noticed aye are u at work or sumthing its like 9 51 pm now

woah man thats pretty good hey which nano stream do u have and how much it cost u

I have the 6025 (660 gph) and it costed me about $90 or so by the time I had it shipped to the Bahamas and payed customs duty. What do they cost up there?

Maybe going through Tunze in Germany is Faster for you? Either Way, Roger will help ya.
