tunze problems 2nd time around

I cant beleave it... this is the 2nd time this has happen in less then a year... except this time.. both of my tunzes suffer the same problem.

my 6065a and my 6085a both have chewed up props...

a few months ago.. eh april or may i sent the 6085 back to them after requesting the wrong prop.... they checked it out replaced the houseing and sent it back to me with a new prop... this time both of my pumps are chewed up...

its like the prop is hiting the front houseing... Ive contacted them just now.. and i should hear back from them shortly (they are good) but im woundering whats going on and why is this happening?

they are on a surge suppressor (apc) anyone haveing problems with new tunzes?

There is a Tunze sponsor forum on Reef Central. Have you tried asking the same question there?
I've been looking at the 6085 or even going to the 6105.
How long have you had yours?

Is it just the tips of the props? The tips will contact the housing if the pump starts to spin backwards and this can break the tips off. Are you turning them on and off very often? Roger from tunze is great and will just send you a couple of new props.

ive had my tunzes the new ball shape style for about 10 months.. but b4 that i had the older square ones....

the square ones were tanks.. seem to be better quilty IMO.... AHhh roger was the name i couldnt remember...

He did send me new ones b4... but this time its both of them almost exactly the same the tips are gone... the origanal problem was the tank not starting back up after a power loss or a runing backwards problem....

Im woundering if them being on a APC back up is causeing this.... i dont turn them off maybe more then once a month.... i use to turn them off when i did water changes but now i just shut the return pump off and do the hole water change from the sump in the back room behind the wall...
