Great news, I have been waiting a year for more!

OK, I will bite. What is soo special about this salt vs IO or Reef Crystals Salt ???

...and this means what???

lol he was just kidding. the differenc from what i've heard is it mixes allot better, when mixed you have to add NOTHING it mixes just at the right levels for a reef. I've even heard improved coral color from it.

Similar to when I switched to brightwell I found it to be a much better salt than IO.

Here is what we got for test results when we carried it the first go around. Excuse the cut and paste. We were getting slight PO4 readings on both IO and DD Salts. Also, those Alk/CA/MG levels look great. Its currently on a freight truck. We should see it any day.

We finally got around to testing the Tunze Salt we brought in. Looks like this is going to be a good salt option. This was mixed with RO/DI water to 1.025. Tests were done with Elos Test Kits.

pH- 8.3
Calcium- 470
dKH- 9.5
Mg- 1350
Phosphate- 0
Nitrate- 0

So how readily available will this salt be? Will it be discontinued again??

We will keep it in stock as long as Tunze has it available. After a year or so of no issues, they had a packaging issue where moisture got into some buckets and a few bags. It caused problems. Also, some batches has the Magnesium settling to the bottom. They stopped producing while they addressed these issues. I would still mix the salt to ensure that no layering has taken place but supposedly the moisture issue is fixed. Not sure about the layering? We have to order pallets which causes some logistical issues. Makes it hard to always have every size in stock but we try. We do not offer a PSAS discount. The margin is small and after the freight from Texas its even smaller:( We like this salt so much we will be putting our display, frag, and Elos tanks back on it. The rest of the store will stay on IO.

The salt is here. We received limited quantities of the buckets the first time around. We can hold prepaid items. Just call and pay over the phone and we can set aside product for you to pick up when convenient.

126 Gallon Mix Bucket $59.99 (8 avail)
63 Gallon Mix Bag $34.99 (48 avail)
15.7 Gallon Mix Bag $12.99 (20 avail)
