I just got the new version of the Tunze 6105 stream. Wow this puts out way more flow then the vortech mp40w I had on the tank and its cheaper:target:. Its really quiet and I have a diy controller for it. Out of the box way too much flow for my 120g so I turned it all the way down and I still get crazy wave action with just one!!!!!.

i just wanted to express my excitement for this pump:peace:

congrats to use tunze for wave,,i am the big fan of tunze,i got afew of them in my tank really like them and ,,great tunze customer service too.:couch2:

Ya, everyone used to say that Tunzes wouldnt give wave action like a vortech. when I first bought a pair of 6105s and the 7096 controller I was able to make waves crest the rim of my 210. I had to tone them down and find the sweet spot to make the tank happy. It was from 30/100 at close to .8per sec for anyone reading this in the future. FWIW Ive had several CL's, Mjs, Hydors, MJ mods etc. etc. After many years, I'm a tunze believer

Tunze's are horrible pumps, they are not only horribly efficient, but they move my water all through the tank. Who wants their water moved in such a perfectly timed motion, with almost perfect simulation of wave action. Who in their right mind would want such a beast. (This guy right here) :)

LOL Floyd!!!! Didn't you buy my old CL three years ago? Not that I was trying to rip anyone off..............

yeah i had the nano 6055 in my 120g pushing waves!!! i bought the new pump for my new tank in the making

No way! The 6055 is far too small to create any wave in any tank.....

I just got the new version of the Tunze 6105 stream.

Are they different than the ones I have that are 8-9 months old?

I traded a pair of MP40ES for a pair of the 6105's and a 7095 controller.
I couldn't be happier with them.
I also have a pair of 6055's and the 7091 controller on my zoanthid tank.

Not sure what happened here, but I re-opened the thread. Not sure if hit a wrong key on the iPad or something when i posted or if something else happened, but I will ask mike to check the log. Sorry dudes for whatever happened :D

It was me!!! I'm sorry guys. I hate forum runner for the iPad. Hopefully tapatalk becomes available for the iPad soon. Sorry again! :)

There goes Krish screwing things up for everyone. And, did you notice that he had to post two more times to explain that he screwed up? There's a few more posts towards hitting 22,000 by February. Post whore! :peace:

6105's are pretty sweet. I had two MP40's on my 180 and bought two 6105's to get more flow. I ended up trading one of the 40's for another 6105 and have crazy flow in the tank now. I really like the Vortechs and don't think you can go wrong with either company but really like that the Tunze pumps are dead silent and you can adjust the direction of flow. I did notice the tank temp bump up a degree or so over normal so I had to adjust my controller to account for that but otherwise they're great.

Haha! Well you can never be to sure! :D. Now let's see how I can go about "accidentally" screwing up your account here....Hmmm....

So Thatguy, mfinn and mcoomer...could you guys describe how you have your 6105's placed/positioned in your various tanks? I'm thinking about using a pair, plus two 6055's on a 7095 in a 4 foot 120g.
