hey all,
was wondering if anyone has ever experimented with feeding the ventui/eductor on a protein skimmer with the discharge hose of an air pump.
not sure if this would actually help create denser foam, cause the pump to cavitate, or both.
any input is desired.
thanks
chris

Chris when I first started playing around with my diy skimmer, I played alot with the venturis, I found that most pumps could not handle the full venturi, never mind injecting air. My guess would be that they would cavitate.

I heard of someone wanting to put a split on their intake and add Kalkwasser to their skimming, Has anyone ever tried this?

on a related topic, would putting a airstone at the bottom of my CPR intake side be a way to effectively boost skimming capability?
