Twist lock flanges

Don,
I am trying to duplicate what you have done with the flanges with no success.
I have cut a jig block and attached the acrylic to the thick end. Standing the block on end and making a pass thru the router, I end up with a bevel cut not a tapered cut.
I am using a router bit that has the bearring on the end of the cutter. Is that correct?
I am missing something here. Any insight?
Thanks for the help,
jonboy

The jig is spun on the circle cutting jig. The piece is cut with the tip of the bit so no bearings. Or use a bottom bearing and let it ride on the jig.

Don,
Does the acrylic extend over the sides of the wooden block and then the top of the cutter makes the cut?
Still trying to visualize the cut
