Hi! I am paying with the idea of placing a second osmolator in my sump. The osmolator I have now is a Tunze. It's (nearly) impossible that it gets stuck on. But it still get stuck off, even only because the little pump could fail. So I am thinking of placing a second osmolator set (the usual air pressure sensor + float) that would start working only if the level drops by about 1" or 2" below the normal level. In case that happens during vacation...
Of course having double equipment gives more possibility of equipment failure so I am not so sure. What is your opinion/experience with that kind of plan?
Many thanks!

Hmmm....I never thought about that. I, too, use the Tunze Osmolator. Seems like an extra would be an expensive back-up, have you considered trying something a little cheaper than the Tunze as your back-up? Something with a single float, or these two which seem to be very similar to the Tunze, but a little bit cheaper...
