Off topic but do u notice a diffrence between ur pump dosing and ur manual doage? Also how often did u dose and how much? U saw a diffrence when u forgot to dose? Obviously u want it to add as it gets eaten.
Ur gonna have 3 diff dose pumps on 3 diff timers pep? These dose units r one pump?
Sry everyone if I'm the only spacetranaut!

There is NO question D, you are a space case! LOL
The difference in me manually doseing and the pumps doseing is that the alk, calc, and mag stay in a much closer tolerance.
I couldnt see a difference in the tank when I would forget to dose manually. But that dont mean the levels didnt fluctuate. I was more concerned with the alk levels that would effect my PH.
Yes I have 3 different pump and three separate timers. The quantity of each solution is added to the tank in different volumes.

Cool, now I need to find the best source/deal for bulk dosing elements and then just 3 months to get it all figured out before Salmon Fishing season demands my attention.

I am with Nick on this one . I use the BRS 2 part. It is cheap, and easy to mix.
You could have this doseing system up and running in a couple of weeks, if you didnt spend so much time and money out at the cabin!!
Are we ever going to see any pics of this so called "Money Pit" you have been investing the past few years??
Or is there going to be an open house/cabin?

yeh that swc set up seems like a steal! I went with brs pumps cuz i have the availabe outlets on my apex to control them. also I liked the idea of individual pumps so that if one burns out, (the one that used the most) then you don't have to replace the whole unit. had I seen the swc for $200 I would have went that way though!

Todd, I have a over 30 pounds of Dow flake. (Part A) and Part B is simply baking soda cooked in the oven. Costco has nine pounds bags of arm and hammer. The mag is a comination of magnesium sulfate (epsom salt) and magnesium (I dont remember right now). IMO this is what most of the off the shelf stuff everyone is marketing now days but the hobbiests just don't know it. I do know for fact however, that this is what BRS sells.

the other mag is chloride. I found the brs brand very affordable when you consider its delivered to your door and no hunting down the chemicals at various places and the baking soda is already baked off for you.

The reason I went with "balling" is although I have not ran a calcium reactor the balling method has to be more precise and controllable, right?. I mean in a ca reactor as the media depletes doesn't it disolve less calcium, thus leaving more co2 in your system as time goes by? kalk reactors imo are dangerous if you are using a big enough reactor to not have to fill it every week...and then something goes wrong and you OD your tank ( heard this story one too many times, right?). those were my reasons anyway.

OK Duane, I'll take 'em. Annnnnnnnd just for Dave some proof below that my 'Honey Do' is BIGGER than yours
