Uni seal skimmer question

Does anyone know if a uniseal will work on the body of a cone skimmer?
My concern is that because the skimmers body isn't exactly perpendicular to horizontal, that it might try to force the pipe that I stick through into an upward angle instead of sticking straight out flat. Don't know if I'm explaining this well.

I'm sure it would since the hole is going to be oblonged in the skimmer body anyway, the seal should just contour to the hole.

that is a tricky one to put them on a cone skimmer..
the angle would be interesting to deal with

Yeah, I'm assuming it would be a bad idea to try it seeing as how I've got nearly a grand into this thing.
