update on my home power project

I work on this site every weekend learning about xhtml code so bear with me on the site.

I have installed a 1kW wind turbine that will charge a 800 HR battery bank and 1400W inverters. This setup is to do the data logging for the next 2 years. I want to make sure we have the resource first before I spend 60K for the 20kW tower.
I am working on different components of a wind system to make it cheaper to produce the power.


I just thought I would let you know about this if you are interested in renewable energy (that a person can afford) and tag along on the progress.

Oh and this system that I am building will also work with solar power too for those who dont get a lot of wind. Although PV boards are NOT cheap. I will be doinng a solar workup also in the near future.

Looks like fun. I love the pictures of all the trees with no limbs on the one side. It must get pretty windy over there.

ya wind we do have here.

That is one of the best signs for a wind resource, tagged trees.
When I get some time I will add descriptions to the pictures so people understand what they are seeing.

RE power is the way to go if you are able to do it!
