Tim,

Nice. What's the size of your tank?
Is your powder blue bothering your emperor?

I have a 375g tank and plan on adding several large angelfish, one of them is going to be an emperor. I am also thinking about adding a blonde naso and possible a powder blue or purple tang.

I would like to know how your powder blue is "behaving" with your emperor.
FWIW, I plan on adding the emperor and PBT and/or purple tang last to the tank.

thanks
Kirk

Hey Kirk,

My tank is a 180 but there is a 300 in the works. i saw your tank and it looks great. As far as the angels, are you concerned about them picking on your LPS? I added the Emp first, he was about 2 1/2". I added the PBT about 2 months later and the PBT was about 1 1/2" bigger than the Emperor. They are about the same size now. If anything the Emperor pushes the PBT around. The Emperor will even try and go after the Black Tang which is almost twice his size. The Black Tang than puts the Angel in its place. I am going to get a Conspiculatus Angel in the next couple of months.

What type of Angels and Tangs are you considering besides the ones listed?
I wouldn't be too concerned with the aggression of the Purple Tang. In my experiences they aren't as aggressive as the PBT. Some people will disagree. Ideally the best thing to do is when adding a new fish, make the new fish drastically larger or smaller than the pre-existing one that you feel may be aggressive to the new addition. Personally i would add the Emperor last if you plan on adding an adult. In that size tank you should easily be able to add 2-3, 4-5" fish at the same time as long as you have proper filtration and bio-load capabilities. Very interested in what type of other fish your considering.

I took a few more pics of the new guys and one of the Emperor who is changing more and more everyday. Hopefully when he reaches maturity he won't be bland as many other Emperors are when they are raised as juvis. in captivity. His food is always soaked in garlic, selcon, zoe, and zoecon. He also eats NLS pellets nonstop. Regards, Tim

Wow. A Conspiculatus angel. Cha-ching !!! I saw where LA had some available on their Divers Den list. Can WPH get some one for you?? Sounds like he has some good quality fish.
