Does anyone have any thoughts/experience with this? I'm going to be upgrading my 30 gallon tank from the current 165 watts of PC lighting (2 10K's 55's and 1 20K 55) to 300 watts of VHO (2 75 watt actinic whites and 2 75 watt super actinics).
My question is: do I need to do any aclimating of the tank, and if so will cutting back on my photoperiod (to say 6 hours a day) be enough, or will I need to use some screening material to reduce the amount of light entering the tank?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and input. :)

In this case Eliyah I would say just reduce the lighting period, instead of the screen method,

Mike, how long would you recommend? Currently I'm running the 20K 11 hours a day and the 10K's 9 hours per day.

Thank you,

Eliyah
