ive had my tank up for 2 yrs now. its 40g. long, so its only about 13in high. ive got 216wt t5 lights.


what would be a good beginner coral, and some others to follow.


tank inhabintants are perc clown, 2 blue devils, cleaner chrimp, orchid dottyback

It depends what sort of corals you want to focus on.

Zoas are easy and colorful.

Most any Leather Coral should do well for you.

Just about any closed brain is an easy beginner LPS as are galaxea and Chalice corals such as Mycedium and Echinophyllia.

If you like SPS Montipora and Pavona are very hardy corals that even though they are SPS should do well in your young tank.
