vho bulbs

i read somewhere that you could use regular bulbs instead of vho, anyone done it here? I bought the reeflux 12K and don't really need the 2 72" vho actinics running too.

The Ice Cap and other electronic ballasts will determine the wattage and light it appropriately. You can use standard wattage fluorescents if you want to save on electricity (minor savings) or on expencive buld use. But you get what you pay for, standard output bulbs do not hold a candle(power) to VHO
