vho vs pc

I'm looking to add atinitic lighting, I'm looking for suggestions, vho vs. pc

I had 4-96watt PC's over my 75gallon... and enjoyed the actinic's very much. When I upgraded to my 180gallon tank, I switched over to VHO's. I was amazed at the coloration difference (for the better) between the VHO's over the PC's. If I knew now, what I didn't know then... I would go with the VHO Actinic lights!!!

I have pc now. I have seen tanks with vho. I would go with vho as well. I am swapping to mh soon and will be getting 14k bulbs so hopefully I wont need supplementry lighting.

I can't complain about my VHO's, I think I'd also look into T5's but if your looking for the best range in lamps, then go VHO!

VHO's I have PC now and wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. Okay maybe Jeff HA!HA! The biggest problem I have had with them running MH is the heat and the tubes splitting. Good Luck Dave

I have VHO as well....never had PC so I don't know about them, but I do know my tank looks great and seems to do well with the VHO's.
