Want my bulbs back!

Hi all,
So I'm trying to get my disaster stricken tank bank together and a couple of forum members have been kind enough to get me started again with some frags. I went down to the Indoor Reef and Paul sold me some 10K MH to try out. He said that I could feel free to bring them back if I didn't like the color (I think they were samples from a manufacturer he hadn't tried yet or something). So I take them home and they are waaay too yellow for my taste. I go back to exchange them and put them on the counter. Me and one of the other guys are walking around the store talking about things and when we finally get back to handle the exchange, the bulbs are gone!

I remember there was another dude in the store at the time. Either he grabbed the bag my mistake or just plain took them on the way out. Either way, I'm now bulbless and had to transfer all the nice frags to a friends tank because my original bulbs are atleast a year old now and I was afraid of harming the frags. The old bulbs atleast light the tank, LOL... Do you guys think the frags are safe in there with the old bulbs? From what I've read they're probably not.

If anyone grabbed the bulbs by mistake or knows anything about them, please let me know.

And to top it off, this morning I woke up to about 6 gallons on the floor. My CPR backpack skimmer created some sort of syphon in the airline and dripped away all night.

This tank is killing me lately! Oiiieeeeeee...

I got a SE 12k coral view 250w you can use till you get another bulb!!

I think your old bulbs would be fine for now. MH are known for lasting more than a year without any problems. Heck, I run my T5 bulbs 12-14 months between replacement.

I have some used 250W Reeflux 12K (quite blue) that you could pick up for free or I would mail you for postage costs.

My setup is two 175s. The stuff is fine in my buddies tank for now... just a bummer to still have a tank full of rocks right now. I'll have to save up for bulbs, AGAIN...grrr. Tax refund coming I suppose.

So my halide lamps are about 2 years old and still running strong. I am getting ready to swap them out in March. Because you are at the lower end of the power/PAR range, there is a little less wiggle room, but you should be fine until you can get replacements.

I sincerely hope you can pass that luck stick along to someone in a different hobby!
