Want to get new t-5 bulbs

The 6 bulb would put you in a better situation for sps and would also leave you more room for customization of bulbs. That being said, I think that a 4 bulb would be adequate if you decide to keep sps. From many places I've read the # of bulbs is more related to the width(front to back) of your aquarium than anything else. Just make sure that whatever light you choose has individual reflectors and get good bulbs and you'll be good.

what did you end up with? I am just starting my search on t5's. I have a 55 gallon with power compacts looking to upgrade to t5ho.
