Anglecrx,

Yes I am planning to "skin" the stand with wood. I am only going to cover three sides and it will attach to the stand with 1/4 20 stainless steel screws installed from the back of the corner braces into the wood (hidden)... I really like the added strength of steel. I also like the idea of being able to remove the wood to make repairs and or refinish it when needed. Here is a pic of the stand after painting.....

Hey Charlie!

Thanks! Yes I will put a couple fans under the stand and have them turn on via an Aquacontroller Pro based on heat issues....

One thing that you might want to invest in is a high level cutoff in your main tank there. All you need is a float switch connected to a relay that cuts off your return pump when the water level gets too high in your main tank. All it would cost is about 15 bux for parts from floatswitch.com and some bits from radio shack.

big t,

Good Idea! Yeah I should have done that for the 25 gal. Maybe I will order a few swithes as I will need a couple for the new tank also. The 375 gallon is going to have overflow slots cut into the back panel of the tank and there are going to be two of them. I don't think those will ever both get clogged at the same time. Not to say that it isn't possible, just unlikely......
