I am being tempted to install a water softener in my house, and I have a couple of questions.
Is this going to be OK is the main question!!!!

The unit is going to be before the RO/DI unit.

Thanx in advance for your replies, if any.:D:D:D:D

From what I remember you have very hard water, these softeners usually use salts to soften the water, I think. If so, I think your filters will remove them & probably get you more life out of your membranes. I moved your thread to Boomer's forum because he'll know your answer I'm sure!

That is also what the water people are telling me too, and I had a hunch that would be the case. I tried to do a little researching around here, but couldn't come up with all that much.
Thanx for the bump and the move Scooter.

You can go either route Charlie but a WS is the best route for very hard water. Another big issue here for you is without the WS that DI will get killed reallllllllllllly fast.

There you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D Boomer, you are preaching to the choir about DI getting killed really quick. I didn't have soft water before because my wife didn't want it..........................that problem is solved:oops::oops::oops:. Five years of DI resin my friend!!!!!
Thanx for your reply and help, always means a bunch.
