Kevin,

I was just wondering were you got the cylindrical tanks that you are storing your water in your shop? Did you get them in Spokane or from an online vendor, what is there size, and about how much do they run? Also, are you able to plumb those tanks (bulkheads at the bottom).

Hello.
I bought them from Custom Aquatic but shipping cost more than the containers. They hold 165 gallons and come with a bulkhead fitting, and a plug installed.
You can find them locally at a farm equipment store or sometimes a feed store. They cost about $150-$175.

Regards,
Kevin

So I finally found a place that sells the tanks like you have. I bought two 210 gallon vertical tanks. My question is, do you think I need to rinse them out or can I go ahead and start filling with RO/DI?

Hello,
They have a vent in the lid that allows for expansion of the air/material in the tank if it heats up. The downside of this is that dust can get into the tank through the vent. Inside the store this is not a problem but during shipping mine got dusty so I washed them with tap water before use.

Regards,
Kevin

Dust through the vent is probably likely because I had to strap one of the tanks to the top of my truck and haul it from the Portland/Vancouver area back up here to Maple Valley.

So how's your display tank in the store looking? I always look forward to visiting your store when I come over to Spokane for work, and that new tank is going to be a great highlight.
