I read someone else's thread and got me wondering how diffrent everyones lighting was like.
Qs

Thxs and look forward to the results!
Its like you're speaking engrish...but I dont understand what you're saying???
Total system volume is approx 250 Gallons
System consists of:
120 Display lit by dual Radion LED's for 12 hour cycle, (ramps up from moonlight to 100% and back down during that time frame)
58 Display lit by single Radion LED on the same 12 hour cycle as the 120
40 breeder frag tank lit by both a Kessil A350W and a DIY Aquastyle fixture. Both of these are on a light timer for 12 hours, no ramping, just on or off.
All tanks are plumbed into a common sump.
120 is SPS and a pair of H.magnifica anemones and a single maxi mini carpet anemone.
58 is LPS, softies, an H.magnifica anemone, an H.crispa anemone, a RBTA, and a single maxi mini carpet anemone.
40 Frag tank is mostly SPS with some softies, and clams.
I used these LED's to replace dual 250 watt HQI SE Phoenix 14K's and dual 95 w VHO actinics over the 120, dual Icecap powered 250 watt XM15K SE bulbs over the 58, and a single Sunlight Supply Select-A-Watt 250 watt Phoenix 14K bulb and dual 55 watt 10K pc bulbs over the frag tank.
So using approximately 671 watts of LED lighting I replaced 1540 watts of MH, VHO and PC lighting.(Radions use 143 watt's each with fan running, the Kessil is 92 watts, and I'm estimating the DIY Aquastyle fixture at about 150 watts since I havent bought a Kill-a-Watt to see how much its pulling)...
No more yearly bulb replacement costs and less electricity used is a good thing. Most tellingly to me, is that the anemones have not moved to find MORE light since the change to LED's, and SPS growth is the same under the Radions, but slower under the Kessil....
