First of all, welcome to Reef Frontiers!!!
Peter, you could go in to Reef frontier's Resource Library.
http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=72
Please note: you may need to alot a few hours (quite a few hours, lol) to reading all the available information in RF's Resource Library. I am not sure that you will find to many drawings in the library, of how all the components come together, but there is a wealth of information, none the less.
You may want to also purchase a basic aquarium start up book, there are quite a few available, so take your pick. Here is one example, that if memory served me correctly there was a few pictures/diagrams of aquarium set-up:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...f=sr_1_1/102-9836343-8988962?v=glance&s=books
Then scroll down until you get to: Part Two...Tank Set-up
You will find some start up information, it may be of help to you.
for instance:
http://www.petsforum.com/personal/trevor-jones/tankplan.html
http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/jan2003/beginner.htm
http://www.netpets.com/fish/reference/thielbook/thieltoc.html
and quite a few others.
If you don't find the needed information in our Resource Library, you should post your own thread, so everyone can help you out. Once we know all the equipment you have, and the type of fish & or corals you wish to keep, and your desired end results (SPS dominated reef, Softy Reef, FOWLR, FO and etc?...), we the people of RF's should be a great resource for you aswell.
I hope this proves useful
