What is going on here?

Hello,

My relatively new Turbinaria peltata (i think) had two polyps joining for some reason, i am curious what it might be...thought could be like siblings taking food away or something reproductive ???
they are larger polyps in the middle of the colony so i don't think it is splitting but i could be wrong...havent paid close enuf attention...

anyway kind of a neat shot..

lol. Just today I found 2 xenia heads coming out of ones stalk with a single arm going straight out the middle. Looked like it was giving me the finger. Cool pic. Thanks
