Hi All

I'm new here and looking for help.

I found this attached to a live rock, I thought it might be a clam. But apparently not. If it isn't can anyone tell me what it is?

Its a Boring Clam in genus Arca. I have several one of which is more than 10 years old. There shells are pretty cool looking (ones my old Banded Coral Shrimp cleaned up/out for me) They are mobile like Scallops and will relocate themselves to better areas of tank if needed.

Hi All

I think I have been a bit confused when looking at this thing in my tank. I think what I am seeing here is the bottom of the mollusc or the byssal opening?? Is this correct? If so the opening end of it would be buried in the rock?

Oh! I have something like that in my tank too! I could never figure out what it was. I will post a pic later!
