Camera is broken so unless I can somehow get a picture off my phone I'm screwed..

On my Astraea Snail there is what looks to me to be some form of algae on his shell.. It's long and green. But not like hair algae. But its growing all on his shell and is about half and inch long.. Looks strong like porcupine needles or something.. It's not feathering either just like green stalks on his shell.. if anyone can go off what I said and help me identify it, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Tank has been up about 3 months, it was an upgrade from a 10gallon. I've had him atleast 2 months. I'd say someone tube I can see through it. It is green. From what I've touched it feels like a stalk of a plant. Makes him look like a hedgehog.

I kinda have the same thing going on tested phosphate it was high so ive been running phoss gard and it is going away for me. 3 mounth old tank allso

Yeah I might have to get my phosphates checked.. I did just win the battle against cyano too.. Ugh lol
