Green with Pink tips, looks exactly like the Majanos that I used to have.

Majanos are considered a pest because they multiply rapidly and have a strong sting. It is probably about the size of a dime but I have seen them get close to the size of a quarter.

It hasn't done anything but it looks cool. It is about the size of a nickle.
How do they multiply? What should I look out for? I am new to the hobbie

second tulip... had some when i first started... kept em for awhile then got rid of them... lots of people said it was majano ... but it was tulip... still... kinda not good to have around.

they look really sweet under nice actinics;) really nice green and bright red tips.. looks like christmas .. only u dont get to have many other corals=/

When they move or when you try to remove them they leave a trail of little nodule like fragments of the foot. Each nodule becomes a new pest. When removing one they can leave several nodules behind and where there was one there will be plenty.

Boiling water from a turky baster is one way to eliminate them but be very careful not to destroy any neighbors. Make sure you get the area where the foot was attached really well.

Ditto what Candy says, tulip colored Majano. They will take over. Once they get in places you can't reach, you will regret it. Nuke them with boiling water

just boil water and make sure you just hit the tulip... if you can take the rock out and have nothing else you are gonna hurt on it then do that ... boil the sucker off and scrub that area to make sure you got it all and rinse before placing in the tank.... but spot shooting it in the tank with boiling water works just as good. might have to attempt it a couple times.

Tulips are an Anemonia cf Majano. By all accounts they can become a plague in an overfed or unkempt system but they can just as easily become an interesting part of your ecosystem. I'm not suggesting everyone should run out and get one but it's one a the few species I would allow to remain, with caution. That said though, definitely keep the "juice" handy.
