Its mesenterial filaments couple of things cause this either it had too much to eat and can't pull them back in, it was irritated by something or it just got done fighting with a neighboring coral.*

Odd, today it looks fine. It and all coral around it have been the same for the past 4 months. Maybe to much to eat.

My mushrooms do that also. I never really paid attention to it because they were fine by the next day. I had to clean some shrooms off a rock one time and they did that. I just figured they were protecting themselves.

when i move my ricoreas they do it for a few hrs. just a way to tell u he is not happy/over fed

He is happy now. I have a colony of other mushrooms that I took 2 from to frag out. We will see how that goes, This is the colony...

I had a superman shroom when I was into LPS. He got stung by my nem and spit his guts out just like that. It took a few days but he recovered. He was fine until I had to break my tank down then he died.

Looks like the problem was solved already.

Nice looking shrooms though.
