I will take pics tomorrow but lets see if anyone knows what it is by what I say..

I noticed on my live rock these strings that look like hair algae but are clear or translucent. It waves like hair algae and is growning on the side and free floating to the left. I figure there is no way they are glass anemones because they look nothing like the pictures I've seen!

(The only thing in my tank with hair algae is my candy cane coral and the hair is from the previous owner I just haven't had any look completely removing it all.)

Thanks for the help if you have any without the pics. Try and post some tomorrow when I find my camera charger.

Sounds to me like you have some spaghetti/hair worms. I have a bunch in my tank on two pieces of live rock. They really don't do much, but aren't bad to have in the tank. Pictures always help with identification, but it sounds like you have spaghetti worms :)

from the online pics I've seen they look exactly like those.. minus the yellow tint.. just clear
