I originally started this thread with the intention of adding new photos of my tank. My wife has hidden the camera on me, I would ask her where it is but she is asleep.

So, What is your favorite aspect of your tank?

So far, being new to the sport, I have to favor my Ocellaris Clowns. They are VERY entertaining to watch as they follow me around as I pass by the tank. They are very effectionate towards eachother.

Here is anold pic of them in my tank

If you add pics of yours, could you please leave the names of what the pics are. I may want to look for those myself and add them to my tank at a later date. Plus, it would be a cool refrence for others that may find somethinf they like. :D Maybe leave a brief decription of care and so on if they are rare.

Well Detri, I think my favorite aspect of my tank so far is my
first fish I added in there...My juvenile french angel. It is amazing
how friendly he is and how quickly that species of fish adapts. My
wife kills herself laughing when I run to one end of the tank and the
fish flies over there to me and then I'll run to the next side of the tank
and he'll turn around and run that way. I don't know if she is laughing
at the fish, or at me for looking like an idiot running back and forth playing
with this one little fish in my tank(LOL). He will even nibble on my arm if I
have it in the tank adjusting a powerhead etc. Another good thing I like
about him is that he started eating formula one flakes pretty much right
away! Well, hopefully by this afternoon, he will finally have a few friends
to play with and I can watch them instead of entertaining(LOL). I should
have 2 small perculas and a small blue hippo coming in. I know everyone
has probably seen him before, but here he is again anyway. BTW..Cool
thread Detri

My refugium draws water from the overflow and up over the top to the refugium by air. It then flows into the ank never bieng mashed by an impellar. It is simultaneously an upsteream and a downstream refugium.

Krish thats such a nice looking fish. I'm glad it is doing well in your tank.

aquariumdebacle, you need to shorten your name for those of us that have A.D.D. <kidding> Thats really cool! I take it the refugium sits a little higher than your tank?

I am going to post better pics of them as soon as I figure out how this camera works I guess. Just when you think you learn how, it's wrong. haha

Boy that is a tough question, I dont think I could nail it down to any specific thing I kinda like the way everything lives and competes with each other.

My favorite has been watching all of the frags that I started with grow into something that at least I am proud of.
The first pic is Feb 2004.
The 2nd pic is 3 weeks ago.

Charlie...You know if you remove some of that 24 inch deep sand bed you have in your tank, it could probably hold an extra 50 gallons of water(LOL) Just messing with ya! I love the tank. I see why you enjoy watching it!

My temp controller. Year around the temp is always 78*F, for years summer time was a nail biting affair with many times losing livestock due to overheating but not anymore now; ask me next year and it will be something else. :)

I would have to say I actually have two favorite things with the tanks.

1) Is learning what to do correctly and seeing the results

2) Would be watching the growth of all the livestock in the tank.

Of course there's always the getting to know others in the Hobby and learning from the "Masters" within our ranks.

I have to agree, this learning curve makes it fun. But, so early in the hobby for me its so hard to be patient. I took out all but 3 lbs of rock in my tank. I got screwed over. The rock that was sold to me was concrete. Not even aragocrete. A friend came over and told me it was fake and I got ripped off. Was a good simularity to what "I" thought was LR. A well Live and learn. Lights on hold again. Going to head to a place with a good reputation. Well recommended from others in my area.

ROFLMAO!!! Detri, Detri, Detri! you are killing me tonight! I almost woke my wife up laughing. First you let me sucker you into looking for mojo's guestbook to sign and now you get suckered into putting building material in your tank!(LOL) Sorry for laughing, but it is a little funny, but still...I'm sorry for laughing, but seriously, it was funny!(LOL)
This is another reason why I enjoy the hobby...You have better entertainment here than Cable TV!

Well its my own fault. I didn't know squat about LR 2.5 months ago. I should have talked to more people about LR I guess. I feel really dumb right now. Looked good to me.

We've all made mistakes in the hobby whether we want to admit it or not...That's what makes it interesting. Live and learn right? Just make sure next time you don't buy LR and try to build something(LOL JK)

I just couldn't resist!(LOL) Detri's a good sport though and I'm sure he doesn't mind seeing that I already told him I'd send him my rock background.............Just as soon as he removes those last 3 pieces of concrete out of his tank so it could fit.(LOL) That was the last one Detri...I promise (LOL). Unless you are enjoying it!(LOL)

O.k all jokes aside...Remember, there is a small faction of time to be serious...So I am serious now. Detri, your tank doesn't look bad regardless of the fact that there are only 3 rocks in there. It's really clean and just think of it this way on the bright side...Your clowns have more swimming space now. No-where to hide, but still, I'm sure they are already use to you and don't need to. Good luck shopping for your new LR. Make sure you post some pics when you get it.
