Obviously!
Hey I'm only getting married for the first time in two weeks lol!
I managed to stay single the past 37 years, then I slipped up!

Nope....congrats in advance bud!!!

EVERY choice in life has it's +'s and -'s. Marriage allows your spouse to offset your -'s and you have to offset their -'s. Mix 'em up and you end up balanced.

I've been married 12 years. As someone who has been married for a while, I recommend that you don't use the words "always" or "never". JMO.

Those bags on the aquticeco system are pretty big... and some are really expensive. Are you guys using nylon or felt?

Any place that has smaller bags that are better for placing on drainlines? Thanks,

Yea, I have my share of those, thanks for the advise, & thanks everyone, I'm looking forwarded to the Beach time.

Dr. B I use the felt ones. Not sure about smaller sized ones, though.

Congrats Scooterman!! Just remember a few key phrases: "Yes, dear" & "You're right". (although my mantra ingrained in my head is....the man is always right, the man is always right.....)

Thanks nikki, I let her always be right, as long as I get my way! :)
No ok we try and keep it on even playing grounds!

I rarely see the smaller bags, with real small micron filtration, I love the socks, I'm guessing that some may last longer & maybe easier to clean but I don't know I use the cheaper ones. Why do you wash them in your machine Nikki, is this necessary?, Couldn't you just hand wash them with a little bleach?

I could....but it is easier for me to toss it in the wash. With a toddler constantly under my feet, I try to make things as easy as I can.

I've been using the 100 micron felt bags, not knowing what else to order that's what I got. I change them out at least eveyother day or two. Just rinse them out and let it drip dry till I have at least 3 of them to wash and in the washer they go, with a little soap and bleach and of course the extra rinse.

Is this too fine of a mesh? One micron and five micron felt bags, huh?

The Shark Reef sells felt bags. They stock the 8x14 with the plastic ring. I use one full time and wash every few days. NO soap or bleach. They are expensive $10 but last for a very long time, can be washed hundreds of times.
A short wash cycle in hot water is plenty. If you use it to vac I would rince out before putting in the wash, just keeps the sand out of the machine.

LOL, She'll have you deprogrammed and retrained in no time (dont worry it does'nt hurt). In my case it was a good thing. As for the "aways and never" those are reserved for the teenagers. I'm looking forward to the revenge of being a grandparent. Two more weeks if my daughter and grand daughter can wait that long.

I have run the 100 micron 16" sock for over 2 yrs now 24/7 on my BB system. I think running anything finer is starving the corals if run 24/7. I have no algae issues and all the sps are doing fine. I change out every 3 days and save up a few and turn them wrong side out and wash twice on short cycles in the wash machine on gentle. I would not run 24/7 on a DSB system as it could starve the sandbed critters, using it to vac with only.
